Customer Support Showcase

Welcome to our Summer Support Showcase.

It has been a busy quarter for Customer Service, Support and Development (read the Development Spotlight).

Harlequin version 5.7 has now been released. If you haven’t received this, then please contact the support team to ensure we have the correct contact details for you. To support this update, we have a full and detailed product sheet on the changes in our User Guides under ‘Update Guides’.

Speaking of Update Guides, our Standard Import (updated for 5.7) is now also available to download from the User Guide Section (I02 Standard Import Link). We are also in the process of splitting the import to provide ‘mini’ versions for Events, Memberships etc.

We had a great time at the IoF South West Spring Conference with Harlequin sponsoring the event. We enjoyed meeting up with existing clients and hopefully some prospective clients! Here is a super video.

Our requests for training have increased with the team delivering 53 training sessions (as of June). It is great to see that Charities are dedicated to investing in the resources to ensure their teams are skilled in the usage of Harlequin, in order to ensure data is managed to its full potential.

As ever, we welcome our newest customers to the Harlequin family! Some new clients include Headway Essex, Chester Cathedral, The Walton Charity and The Gurkha Museum.

Finally, I hope that you are enjoying the benefits of the search facility in the User Guides – this is stage one of re-vamping this area with further improvements to come.

Data Workshops

We have delivered the first two of our four free of charge workshops on ‘Managing Your Data’. Due to phenomenal demand, our July event is now full. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend the final event for this year, which is being held in October. Find out more and book here. I am sure from the success of these, that further workshops will be set up for 2020. Here is some feedback:

“We found the training day extremely useful. We learned loads of new practices. There were two or three light bulb moments on importing donation data, GDPR and how to better categorise data…We have lots to take away and use to improve how we use Harlequin. Some will be quick fixes and others will take some time to implement, but we have certainly come away better equipped and with more confidence.”

Support Team Update

We welcome Lindsay MacKenzie as an Internal Account Manager and Sales Co-Ordinator. She has an Accountancy background and brings some invaluable skills to the team. Lindsay will look after clients, process sales, and support the administrative side of our Service Delivery. Additionally, she will assist Tom Ellis (MD), and undertake invoicing and office support duties. Lindsay loves spending time with friends and family. She is involved in her local Rotary and is a Trustee of a new charity, Spaceship Earth.

Launch of the Harlequin CRM Forum Programme

We are launching a more formal programme for Harlequin Users who want to work together to share ideas and best practice. It is a great way for charities of a similar sector or for those people in similar roles to fully understand the different ways Harlequin can be used.  It could be that you are new to Harlequin and would like to join one of these forums or that you are an experienced user of Harlequin but would like to talk with other similar or local organisations that also use Harlequin. Either way, this scheme will be of value to you.

Once we have gathered all those who would like to take part, we will create a range of ‘Forums’. Harlequin will provide the aims of each forum and support the structure for you to work together. If you are interested in this, please contact Kirsty (kirsty@harlequinsoftware.co.uk) and she will send you a short questionnaire of what you personally would like to get out of a forum. Deadlines for initial round is 30th September where Forums will then be devised with an aim to starting the Forums by the end of October.
